Music for every generation at a Cyprus wedding
A wedding in Cyprus is a special mix. Several generations, several cultures and a lot of musical memories all meet in a single evening. For me that is the fun of it, and it is also the real challenge: the music has to work for the whole room, not just one corner of it.
Music that crosses generations
The backbone of what I play is familiar, danceable music that crosses generations. Favourites from the eighties, nineties and two thousands, current danceable hits, international pop, disco and the songs that get the grandmother and the grandchild up at the same time. These are the tracks almost everyone recognises, whatever age they are or wherever they travelled from.
A mixed, international crowd
At a wedding with international and mixed guests, this matters even more. People arrive from different countries with different tastes, so the common ground is the music everyone already loves. I do not fix the exact balance in advance. The guests set it, and I tune the evening to what genuinely works as it unfolds.
That is why I never build around my own taste. The question is never what I personally like, it is what works for that room, in that moment. House, trance or a more electronic direction can appear later in the night if the crowd and the mood call for them, and Hungarian weddings can include Hungarian classics and party sets. But the dance floor always matters more than the genre.
Your favourites, woven in
If you have your own favourites, or songs in your language that mean something to your family, send them to me in advance and I will weave them in where they fit. The goal is an evening where nobody is left waiting for something they can dance to, from the youngest guest to the oldest.
If you would like music that genuinely suits your mix of guests, I am happy to put it together with you.
